Sealing and protecting your driveway, walkway, or patio is critical to prevent water damage.

QUIKRETE® has the solution, with a full line of waterproofing sealers to beautify and protect concrete, brick, masonry, pavers, even stone and stucco. QUIKRETE® offers two options, Concrete & Masonry Waterproofing Sealer and High Gloss Sealer. The type of sealer you choose depends upon your own preference, but both seal and protect beautifully:

  • Concrete & Masonry Waterproofing Sealer: This sealer is a water-based, highly water resistant, silicone formulation designed to waterproof and seal without changing the surface appearance. It is ideal for concrete, pavers and stucco and leaves a natural-looking finish.
  • Concrete & Masonry High Gloss Sealer: This is a water-based, high-gloss, acrylic clear sealer designed to waterproof, seal and enhance surface color. Can be used on concrete, pavers, masonry, brick, natural stone and for a beautiful wet-look finish.

After you have chosen your sealer, make sure you’ve prepped your surface for application.

If working with newly poured concrete, make sure to allow the concrete to cure for at least 30 days before applying sealer. If working with a previously sealed surface, clean the surface of all stains and flaking. Also confirm the surface is porous, which you can do by placing drops of water on it—if absorbed, you are able to apply the sealer.

Application is easy, as both the waterproofing and high gloss sealer are ready to use and can be applied with a roller, water sprayer or brush. If needed, a second coat can be applied 10-15 minutes after the first coat, while the first coat is still wet.

I applied Quickcrete sealant today. I would have preferred the high gloss to enhance the pavers and give more of the wet look. How soon can I resurface the pavers with the high gloss?

Hi there- I recently poured some concrete countertops using Quickcrete Countertop mix, and then I applied 2 coats of the water-based penetrating sealer. The concrete was polished to 800 grit. The problem is that the counters are showing glass rings and oil stains very easily. I was wondering if youall could recommend a solution or another product to go over the sealer?
    Thanks!
    Justin
