It’s the second month of the year, and by now most of those New Year’s resolutions you made have probably been broken. But don’t be discouraged, because it’s never too late for home improvement projects. The key is to set aside a little time each weekend and plan to attack a chore you can complete within that time.

Tackle those projects you’ve been putting off—like tightening loose screws in a door hinge or fixing that broken chair leg. The satisfaction of accomplishing those small things usually inspires the motivation to take on more… and if you’re really ambitious you may be putting up shelves or adding a dimmer switch before the weekend is over. And who knows you just might burn some calories, too!
