Remodeling Show 2008

By: Danny Lipford

Over my years as a contractor, I’ve always felt it was important to keep up to date on all the newest products, procedures and techniques that are developed for the home. I’m doing that right now in Baltimore at the Remodeling Show 2008.

This annual show features seminars and a large exhibit floor designed to attract remodeling contractors from across the country. I’ve been going to this show since it first started 18 years ago. I found a few cool things we will be featuring on Today’s Homeowner soon.

Of course conventions like this can also be a little fun as well, so I’m headed to Camden Yards tonight with a few friends to watch the Orioles play in this famous ballpark. Work hard and play hard is okay with me.

Mobile’s has a rich history in the sports world from Satchel Page to Hank Aaron from Kenny Stabler to Bo Jackson….Danny I know you live in Mobile. I was raised in Mobile, in the Dawes community and graduated high school there in the late 80’s. I moved out west a dozen years ago for graduate school. Why am I saying this? I just want to tell you how lucky you are, I really miss Mobile, my beautiful Port City. When I lived down there I used to complain about the humidity and other trivial things, not that I been living in the desert I long for the day I could feel humidity. God Bless Mobile….hurricanes and all….
