To make our new construction complement the existing architecture on the 1926 Kuppersmith Project house, we turned some of the salvaged heart pine beams into support brackets for the stoop roof over a door on the garage.

Other steps we took to blend the new construction with the old on the exterior of the house included adding a brick wing wall to the garage and using cast iron vents in the foundation around the house.
