The Touchscreen Deadbolt from Schlage is fully loaded with advanced features. Features like a backlit, easy-to-use touchscreen keypad; a built-in alarm with three alert modes; keyless entry, which means you’ll never be locked out again; and memory for 30 different four-digit codes.

Plus, it connects to Nexia Home Intelligence, which lets you control your home remotely from almost anywhere—whether that’s locking or unlocking the door, managing your home’s temperature, and even monitoring your home with wireless cameras.

The problem is, once you’ve experienced this level of fully loadedness, it’s natural to expect more features from the other things in your home. Doing this, however, will only lead to disappointment.

Your remote will not change the weather. Your dog will not double as an answering service. And your coat rack will most certainly not play catch with you.

So for now, be content with the complete control your Touchscreen Deadbolt gives you. It’s not just a lock – It’s the lock, loaded.

I miss “physical hard buttons” — why does it have to be only a “touch screen”? Hard buttons / keys are easier to press — especially with gloves on…!
