Give Flower Bulbs a Protective Bath Before Planting

Before planting your bulbs in the garden, give them a protective bath to reduce the chance of disease and encourage growth. To make the solution for the bath, mix together:

• 2 gallons warm water
• 2 teaspoons baby shampoo
• 1 teaspoon antiseptic mouthwash
• 1/4 teaspoon instant tea

Swirl each bulb around in the solution for a few seconds just before planting to provide a protective coating that will help keep bulbs healthy while they begin to grow. Watch this video to find out more.
