Wooden knobs, which are attached with a screw, can become stripped over time as the hole becomes enlarged from repeated use.

To repair a stripped wooden cabinet knob:

  1. Put a drop of wood glue in the screw hole.
  2. Break a toothpick in half and insert the pieces in the hole.
  3. Break off any excess so the toothpick doesn’t protrude past the knob.
  4. Thread the knob back on the screw.
