While chucking a paint mixer in your drill makes fast work of mixing paint, it can also make a real mess if you’re not careful.

To keep the paint in the can where it belongs:

  1. Drill a hole in the top of the paint can lid.
  2. Insert the mixer through the hole.
  3. Hammer the lid on the can.
  4. Attach the drill and mix the paint.
