As personal electronics like smart phones and tablets become a bigger part of our lives, they also have a larger presence in our homes. For many of us that means our kitchen counters are littered with these devices and the various chargers that power them. One way to control that clutter is by creating a charger garage to contain all of these devices in one spot, out of sight. Start with an ordinary bread box that looks right at home on the kitchen counter. Mount a multi outlet power strip on the inside of the box and drill a hole in its back wall to allow the power cord to escape. Position the bread box near an outlet on the counter and plug all of your chargers into the power strip. Your electronics can continue to charge while they remain out of sight.
