Simple Solutions

Breadbox Charging Garage – Make a dedicated parking garage for your cell phone, tablet, digital camera and other rechargeable electronics, out of a wooden breadbox. Drill a hole in the back of the box and mount a power strip inside. Place the breadbox on the kitchen counter. Now you’ve got a place to organize—and hide—all your rechargeable devices.

Pool-Noodle Ladder Guards – To prevent your extension ladder from scratching the house, make a pair of protective mitts from a pool noodle. Cut a 12- to 14-in.-long section of noodle, slit it lengthwise, then slip it onto the upper rails of the ladder. Now when you lean the ladder against the house, the pool-noodle mitts will protect the siding.

Best New Product

Blowers are great for cleaning up the driveway or the lawn but they can also be useful for smaller jobs in the garage or workshop. With that in mind Ryobi designed this small sized 18-Volt ONE+ Compact Blower. It’s compact and lightweight so it’s ideal for cleaning up your workshop and jobsite areas. It has a maximum air speed up to 160 MPH so you can blow away dust and other messes in a flash. This workshop blower also features a variable speed trigger with 3 speed settings so you can adjust the speed to your needs. This cordless tool works with any of your ONE+ 18-Volt batteries.

You can purchase this product at The Home Depot.
