What to Look for When Choosing a Snow Shovel
By: Danny Lipford
A snow shovel is an effective tool for removing snow from walks and driveways, but prolonged use can cause back pain and muscle strain.
When selecting a snow shovel, look for a lightweight model that has an ergonomically designed handle with a “D” grip on the end.
A curved handle will allow you to stand more upright to help alleviate any strain.
Other features to consider when choosing a snow shovel are a nonstick scoop and reinforced tip on the blade to reduce wear.
Snow shovels, such as the Arctic Blast Ergonomic Snow Shovel from True Temper, include these useful features.
