Tip for Mixing Paint with a Drill Attachment

By: Joe Truini

While chucking a paint mixer in your drill makes fast work of mixing paint, it can also make a real mess if you’re not careful.

To keep the paint in the can where it belongs:

  1. Drill a hole in the top of the paint can lid.
  2. Insert the mixer through the hole.
  3. Hammer the lid on the can.
  4. Attach the drill and mix the paint.

This seems like a good idea but what if you have paint to store, and the lid has a hole?

Hi, we moved into a home that had at least a dozen of paint stored in basement. What’s the life span on paint?
