Tool belts and nail aprons are handy for holding nails, a hammer, and other tools when working on home improvement projects; but they also can be cumbersome to wear and use. Here are some tips to solve common problems with tool belts:

  • To prevent a nail apron from slipping down on your waist, thread the string on the nail apron string through the back belt loop of your pants before tying it.
  • To hold a hammer holster in place on a nail apron, double loop the apron string through the hammer holster before putting on the apron. This also keeps the hammer holster from falling off when you take the apron off.
  • To make it easy to grab and remove a utility knife from a tool belt, attach a key tag to the handle on the knife.
