How to Locate the Air Filter on Your Lawn Mower

The first step is to locate the air filter on your particular lawn mower. The placement of the air filter varies from mower to mower, but they’re usually located on the side of the engine behind a plastic or metal cover and are easy to spot. Check your lawn mower manual if you have trouble locating the air filter.

Here are air filters on four common push mower models to give you a better idea of how to recognize the air filter on your mower.

The mower in the picture looks just like mine… I am trying to find a filter for it with no luck. Mine is a 2005 and the filter is about 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 and maybe 1 1/2 tall. I can not find the serial number, I think we changed the top with the pully because the string kept breaking. If this is the same mower what part numner do I need ?

    Thank you,
    Karen
