Dual flush toilets are a great way to save water, but in the past they’ve been pretty pricy. That’s no longer the case, thanks to the EcoFusion dual flush toilet from American Standard.

The EcoFusion has two buttons for flushing, one for liquids (0.9 gallons per flush) and a second button for solids (1.6 gallons per flush). The EcoFusion toilet is available at The Home Depot.

Now, I’m sure you all know by now about the dual flushing toilet system, and how it can save you money, and it can also save you water. Well, we’ve actually shown you how to retrofit your existing toilet to have this type of system. But you know what, we recommended that because usually these toilets are very expensive – until now.

Take a look at this, American Standard has come out with the EcoFusion, and this is a great toilet that is a true dual flush toilet system, but it’s not going to break the bank. And like I said before, the great thing is, it’s going to save you a lot of water.

Let me talk to you about how this works. You’ve got two buttons. Button number one is when you’re going to be flushing liquids. Button number two is if you’re flushing solids. Now when you push button number one, which is about 80% of the time that you use the toilet, you only use one gallon. When you use button number two, you’re going to use 1.6 gallons. So you can see you’ve got about a 65% savings of water right there, every time you choose the right way to flush.
